Port Alberni DH #2 May 2nd

Event Description

The course has a new start with a crazy drop, then back into our world famous Port Alberni DH flow, one of the longest courses on the Island!! Due to harvesting this could be the last time this course is used. Expect sweet prizes from Rocky Mountain bikes, Cycles Lambert and a crazy frame from Duncon Bikes!!

The 2010 Vancouver Island Cup Mountain Bike Race Series, is BC’s premiere grassroots race series spanning the length of Vancouver Island. Cross Country, Downhill, Super D and Marathon disciplines are brought together from numerous local mountain bike clubs.

If you’re a first timer, seasoned pro or just out to have some fun we would love to see you experience mountain bike racing on Vancouver Island.

Location – Candy Store at the bottom of the hill arriving in Port Alberni

Time -Registration starts at 9:00 ends at 11:00.  Racing starts at 1pm. You can also pre-register at Ozzies Cycles on Saturday May 1st. Shuttles start at 9am – Pre-register to avoid the early lineups. **Due to time constraints, we recommend doing shuttles on Saturday for those wanting more than one practice run. Please note you will need your own vehicle on Saturday as shuttles will not be provided.**

Fees – $25

Food Bank Donation! - Please bring a non-perishable food item to the race for donation to the local food bank. It’s our way to help out others at times when donations can be short.

    There will be practice shuttles the morning of the race, however it is recommended to do your own shuttles beforehand. Please note shuttle vehicles will only be provided the day of the race.
