You must purchase your licence before the 1^st race of the Series!  To do this, click here:  http://www.cyclingbc.net/buy-your-race-license and then just print out your receipt and bring it to the race.

Hint, if you are only doing the Island Series and local club races, purchase a $42 Citizen licence.  If you are vying for BC Cup points and want to race within your age category, purchase a $130 UCI licence.  You can then just pay your club dues to your club (if applicable) and you are ready for the season!

Latest scoop on the 2010 BC Cup Races:

- The Series will remain at the best 5 of 7 races for both XC and DH with the only change being that Finals will not be mandatory due to location and therefore travel costs.  Welcome aboard the BC Cup train Kicking Horse!

Event Description

The new Hartland course is designed with classic cross country style emphsizing technical singletrack and shorter laps for better spectating.  Little face, Crazy Horse, Rolly Ridge, Fire Drill, Crossover, N-Trail, Two trees, and Shock treatment will be some of the trails you can expect to ride.  The trails are filled with rocks, and roots, expect early wet spring conditions.    Beginners will race one lap, Intermediate will race 2 laps, Experts race 3 laps.

The 2010 Vancouver Island Cup Mountain Bike Race Series, is BC’s premiere grassroots race series spanning the length of Vancouver Island. Cross Country, Downhill, Super D and Marathon disciplines are brought together from numerous local mountain bike clubs.

If you’re a first timer, seasoned pro or just out to have some fun we would love to see you experience mountain bike racing on Vancouver Island.
