Course Description
The new Hartland course is designed with classic cross country style emphsizing technical singletrack and shorter laps for better spectating. Little face, Crazy Horse, Rolly Ridge, Fire Drill, Crossover, N-Trail, Two trees, and Shock treatment will be some of the trails you can expect to ride. The trails are filled with rocks, and roots, expect early wet spring conditions.
Beginners will race 1 laps, Intermediate will race 3 laps, Experts race 4 laps.
The 2011 Vancouver Island Cup Mountain Bike Race Series, is BC’s premiere grassroots race series spanning the length of Vancouver Island. Cross Country, Downhill, Super D and Marathon disciplines are brought together from numerous local mountain bike clubs.
If you’re a first timer, seasoned pro or just out to have some fun we would love to see you experience mountain bike racing on Vancouver Island.

Course Description
The Powell River course will be a 6.6 km loop with 1, 2, and 3 laps for beginner, intermediate, and expert. It starts at the Open Air Market with a climb up to the Airport Bluffs, for a great view of Georgia Strait. This is followed by a combination of twisty single and double track. You will rides trails like Enchanted Forest, Fred’s, 13 Slurpees, and West Lake. There will be some wet spots.
We are excited for 2011 to bring the Powell River Cycling Association into our Island Cup Race Series family. This new course will be fun but challenging and part of an awesome day.
Since the ferry is an integral part of the event, we are working our schedule to fit with the Little River Ferry.

The 2011 Cobble Hill Classic XC follows the rule " If it ain't broke, don't fix it ", so we just polished it up a little! If you missed last years race, bring your climbing legs, your technical savvy, and a pocket full of determination if you're in it to win it! Both Expert gender categories race for King / Queen Of Mountain prizes on lap one, then all category podium places receive gifts.

New for 2011, we have added Campbell River to our XC calendar. Snowden Demonstration Forest went through a major renovation in 2010, improving on an already amazing network of trails. Host each year to the 50K Trail Challenge held on the Labour Day weekend, we asked Dan to shorten up the route for a spring friendly XC race.
Classic trails like Lost Frog, Mudhoney Pass, BLT, Grilled Cheese and Red Devil will welcome you to the Snowden region. Come for the weekend. there is over 100km's of trails in the Campbell River region.

Course Description
The course is a sweet mix of Cumberland old school and a sampling of the new progression. The course starts in the heart of Cumberland at the #6 Mine Park and quickly makes it way up to Cumberland Classsic’s, Two & a Juice and Buggered Pig. Following Buggered Pig a climb up to and across the Sykes bridge to the flowy, bermy goodness of Teapot, which slithers you down to the banks of Allen Lake. After cruising alongside the Lake for a bit you will traverse across to the classic descent which will take you all the way back to town via Crafty Butcher to Black Hole and then finishing with the cosmic bliss of Space Nugget. You can do one, two or three laps of this wicked course!
Come for the weekend and stay at the Riding Fool Hostel. Course maps can be found at Dodge City Cycles.

Course Description
DC/DH Top to Bottom…the Cumberland classic downhill. Course starts with flowy and smooth before dropping into the tech and rocky sections below. Shuttles on race day start at the yellow gate. No other shuttle access.
Great spectator course so bring your friends and family. Please help support our local merchants, many food and beverage options exist in Cumberland. Come stay at the Riding Fool Hostel before to make a fun weekend of riding and racing.

This season we’re with most of the same challenging single track as last year with a few new surprises.
Beginners will do a shorter course about 40 min. 2 laps for intermediate, 3 for experts, with a crazy hard rock trail overlap… yield to downhillers!!
We don’t suggest semi slicks and no one will tease you for walking the skinnies…

The course has the same start with a crazy drop, then back into our world famous Port Alberni DH flow, one of the longest courses on the Island!! Due to harvesting the access road is changed and no pre-race shuttles will be permitted on the active logging roads. Eat your Wheaties and climb up the course!.

Hammerfest is back as one of BC's favorite DH race courses. We would like to thank the landowner for continued access for the DH Race.
The gate will only be open for race day. No self driven shuttles will be permitted.

This season we ask racers to please bring a non-perishable food item to each race for donation to the local Vancouver Island food banks. It's our way to help out others at times when donations can be short.
